1957-1963: University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan: Clinical training in psychodynamic therapy with adults and children and psychological assessment of both adults and children. Received MA degree in 1961, Ph.D. degree in 1963.

1963-1966: Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology, Dept. of Psychiatry, UCLA.

1966-2003: Private practice as a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of California.

1966: Co-founded Mental Health Clinic at St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church.

1967: Co-founded Topanga Center for Human Development.

1966-1971: Training with Fritz Perls, MD, the founder of Gestalt Therapy and James Simkin, Ph.D. Certified by Perls and Simkin as Gestalt Therapist in 1971.

1969-1985: Co-founder and member of Gestalt Therapy Center of San Fernando Valley, a Gestalt training and treatment center.

1971: Co-Founded the Gestalt Therapy Institute of Los Angeles (GTILA).

1971-1985: Trainer, Past-President and Chairman of the Certification Committee, GTILA.

1975-2002: Supervisor of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy interns, Southern California Counseling Center, Los Angeles, CA.

1976-1979: Training in neo-Reichian therapy with Drs. Phillip Curcuruto and Allen Darbonne.

1976: Training in Transpersonal Psychology with Brugh Joy, M.D.

1966-2002: Taught classes in psychotherapy methods, Gestalt Therapy, group therapy, and Self Psychology at California State University at Northridge, California School of Professional Psychology, Antioch University, Pepperdine University. Previously taught at Ryokan College and Saybrook Graduate School and Research Institute. Also published articles on Gestalt Therapy, Self Psychology and the integration of existential-humanistic therapy and psychoanalysis.

1966-1985: Gave talks and conducted workshops in Gestalt Therapy at various growth centers in the United States, Canada and Europe.

1983-1990: Consultation with Judith Broder, M.D. in Self Psychology.

1985-2003: Member, Psychological Service Associates, West Los Angeles.

1986-1998: Training of therapists in theory and methods of Self Psychology and Intersubjectivity in ongoing training and supervision groups.

1995-2001: Consultation with Lynne Jacobs, Ph.D. in Intersubjectivity and Relational Gestalt Therapy.

1998: Training in Eye Movement Therapy and Desensitization (EMDR)

2002: Certification as EMDR therapist by EMDR International Institute.

2002-2018: Adjunct Faculty, Saybrook Graduate School and Research Institute.

2002-2017: Adjunct Faculty, Ryokan College.

2003: Relocated to Portland/Vancouver area, Licensed Psychologist in State of Washington.
